Why this valiant attempt to step up a gear when the rest of nature has slowed right down? It’s true that humans are not as biologically attuned to the seasons as many other animals. But we’re not unmoved by them, either … We might not hibernate in winter, but we do get weaker, heavier and sadder. That doesn’t make January a natural time for those of us in the northern hemisphere to start new things.
